THE PROJECT, IN MY WORDS

The next chapter in a property journey.

Following the sale of the Lark in the Park, I used the proceeds towards the purchase of my current Temple Bar property on Sycamore Street. It was bought at an Allsop Space auction in October 2014 for €2.35 million, and I have owned it for about 12 years. It is a mixed-use building of about 1,403 sq m (15,101 sq ft) over basement, ground and three upper floors, with a nightclub at basement, ground and mezzanine levels and eight high-specification apartments above, including two-bedroom duplexes. It sits in the heart of Temple Bar, close to Dame Street, the Olympia Theatre and Trinity College. I report its current value as €9 million. This is a valuation, not a completed sale.
